I am using NSDL software for preparing TDS returns. One of my client client filed the return for the F.Y.2009-10 by wrongly allocating TDS amount in the field of Others column instead of matching correct deductee records.Now i want to know how to cancel the statement using RPU to file the correction return. Please suggest me.
We can not alter the challan details in correction statement since the challan is in booked status. NSDL agent informed me to cancel the statement and file the correction return.

you cannot cancel the statement. you can download the TDS consolidated file from TIN website and correct your error and file the correction return
