what is procedure if i get notice from tds dept for short deduction

Verify your filed ETDS return by downloading from TDSCPC the relevant NSDL Conso file. If any PAN error found you may correct them and file a Correction ETDS Return and automatically your Short Deduction will be nil. But if any other errors found, take necessary steps to rectify it or else you have to pay the Short Deduction amount and should file a Correction ETDS return.
