This query is : Resolved

27 April 2011 Hi,

I am Canadian PR holder wanting to work in India with an Indian company for a one year assignment. I want to know if my salary income earned in India would be doubly taxed i.e. in India as well as in Canada since it qualifies as my global income.

13 May 2011 The income eraned in india shall be taxable in India only . Also I have no idea about the Canadian Law, but if the Canadian Law taxes income based on citizenship like US then the said Indian Income may be taxed in Canad also. But credit for Indian taxes paid shall be available in canada in that case.
