Tax on dividends received from ELSS mutual funds

11 March 2010 Hi All,
Is there any tax to be paid on the dividend received from the ELSS mutual funds? If any, then what is the rate applicable.

11 March 2010 Dividend received form the equity oriented mutual fund are exempt as per sec 10(34). Therefore dividend received on Equity linked Saving scheme are exempt from tax
