Dear Team
A partnership firm doing business of construction. on 31.08.2011 A Public ltd Company is formed for takeover the running business of Existing firm. in this case what is the status of partnership firm after 31.08.2011 and is it necessary to file return of income of partnership firm for 1.04.2011 to 31.08.2011? If yes then what is the time to file the return and what will be the assessment year in this case?

The return for the period 01.04.2011 till 31.08.2011 shall be required to filed by 31st July 2012 (if non-audit case) otherwise by 30th September.
