If I sell my debentures purchased on 2 April 2009, 2day.at Rs 1,00,000.D long term capital gain I get will it be taxed at 10% or 20%??
plz guide

since there is long term capital gain, indexation benefit is available to you.
Calculate,
(1) tax liability with 20% rate using indexation
(2) tax liability with 10% without indexation
whichever is less of 1 or 2, will be considered as final tax liability
