Tally networking fix!

05 October 2009 Im using Tally 7.2 server of which is not mine but another computer. The problem is that on starting Tally 7.2 it shows "no companies on disk!" message. The source of data for 7.2 is located on server obviously. When i get to the tally data folder in server it says

"Server is not accessible. You might not have permission to access this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission.

Access is denied."

How to resolve this?

05 October 2009 First check that windows firewall is off in both server and client and check whether server and data are shared or not and the data path is coorectly specified in client's machine.

06 October 2009 Im able to access oter documents, files & folders in the server except the tally data folder. So sir networking im assuming to be fine and i dont know what could be restricting access to Tally.
