Surrender of COP

18 September 2010 I am a practicing CA & partner in RAZSDA & CO.Now I want to join a MFI as internal auditor, a full time job. Shall I have to surrender my COP or I can continue to hold my COP with part time practice ? Whether I have to resign from RAZSDA & CO.? Please advice.

24 September 2010 There is no need to surrender your COP or resign from the partnership. You can continue with the Part Time COP.

Just sent a letter to ICAI, regarding your acceptance of job and considering your COP as part time.

Also, in firm you will be considered as a part time partner and will not be counted for audit purpose and you are also not allowed to do any certification or attestation.
