generally for how many marks practical sums are asked in ipcc taxation paper???

It can be predicted but you can assume about 60-65 percent....
However, if your Practical portion is good enough then you can write in your own words, you don't have to do extra effort for theory portion...
However, Service Tax portion is very much theoretical, VAT 50-50...
