how to know that whether STT on equity/mutual fund has been paid or not????
and whether mutual dunf interest/dividend are taxable or exempt?

The transaction statement from your broker will reflect the amount of STT paid.
Dividend income from Mutual Funds is exempt from Tax. There is only capital gains on which tax need to be paid which will arise in case of sale of Mutual Fund Units.
