03 January 2014 In which format a Private company should maintain its statutory registers? Either in soft copy or in hard copy?

03 January 2014 Can be maintained either in soft copy or hard copy.

03 January 2014 I would strongly suggest you to avoid maintaining the same in soft copy.

Good auditor will surely abject to the same. If possible maintain the same in hard copy in prescribed format.

whether the hard copy to be maintained is made out of hand written register or printed sheets of soft copy is enough?

Also refer the relevant provision under the act.

04 January 2014 Hard copy of statutory registers in prescribed format is easily available in market.
