Whether standard deduction of Rs. 40000/- is allowed to employees having conveyance allowance and medical allowance or it is admissible to all employees whether having such allowances as part of their salary or not.

From AY 2019-20 Standard Deduction of Rs. 40,000/- is allowed for all employees irrespective of whether allowances form part of their salary or not.

For AY 2019-20 you can claim maximum deduction Rs.40000/- no separate deduction is available for conveyance or Medical.
