Splitting of shares

This query is : Resolved

24 August 2013 A Share Certificate bearing No. 1 for 10 shares of Rs. 10 each and having denomination no.1 to 100.It is now split into 2 certificates of total value Rs. 50 each.Whether denomination Nos. now will be from 1 to 50 and then 51 to 100 or from 101 to 150 and then 151 to 200.

24 August 2013 Dear Sir..

The splitting of shares means split of share certificates in more than one share certificate.

In your case the distinctive no will be same. It will be for first certificate 01 to 50 and for other it will be from 51 to 100.

You can not do 101 to 150, because this distinctive no. is already given to other shareholders.

24 August 2013 I also hold the same view as given by Mr. Ajay Mishra.Otherwise last denomination no. will not tally with the total no. of shares issued.
