18 July 2013 Dear Sir,
i have filed the return, now i come to know that i make a mistake in bank a/c no while filing. actually my query is that i do not write the 0 before the a/c no i.e i fill a/c no 54151045365 instead of 054151045365 . i fill the ifsc code correct. should i file revised return or not? i have refund this AY year.

18 July 2013 No need to revise the return for this reason. front zero in account number not make any impact.you will get the refund

18 July 2013 actually i called in cpc they said to file revised return..so now what should i do?
plz help me sir.

18 July 2013 Then Just confirm with your banker whether the account number mentioned without front zero has any problem in crediting the refund.

Incase you have doubt, you can revise the return.

as per my view, not required

18 July 2013 if they toldu to revise return then its better to follow them else u will later face trouble in rec refund.

19 July 2013 1)Don't file revised return.

2)in my opinion you get refund.

3)you can see the refund status

https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/oltas/refundstatuslogin.html

4)if refund not received because of bank account number you will get a notice to your mail id regarding it.

5)then you can file rectification through online by login to your incometaxindiaefiling website

6)i have quoted adding "0" to one of my assesse i got a notice asking me to rectify to get challan....

So let it be like that and let the department to object..maximum you can get refund as shown account number is 11 digits which will be sufficient for ECS

Thanks & regards
