Is it possible to sign a proposed balance sheet and p/l by an auditor ?

No an auditor cannot sign a proposed b/s.
However he can sign a provisional balance sheet by mentioning CHECKED AND FOUND CORRECT AS PER BOOKS PRODUCED BEFORE US
