11 January 2017 Dear All,

One of the Shareholder (today he purchased the Equity share in the market) asking the query on last two years data. whether the listed company is liable to answer for it?
My question is he purchased on today and he inquiring the data for last 2 years. can we give?
Is there any Act or regulation for it, if so please share the same.

Thanks and Regards

11 January 2017 No, a shareholder does not have such right.

14 January 2017 my view is bit different. a shareholder has a right to inspect the registers, books , returns during the business hours of the company and can take copy by paying some amount of fees as determined by the company or subject to AOA or Companies Act. read Section 136 of Companies Act,2013
