We are doing construction works and our clients deducted TDS on our bills. Can we adjust the TDS against Service tax dues.
Bye the bye, this year turnover is 7 lakhs only. shall we claim exemption due to below the limit of 10 lakhs?

NO it is not allowed to adjust tds against service tax.
Yes you can claim exemption if your turnover is less than 10 Lakhs.

Ans 1 : you are not allowed to adjust Tds Against service tax as income tax dept and service tax dept are not the same.
Ans 2 : No, you can not claim exemption because service tax is charged in the current year depending upon your preceding year's turnover. if your last years turnover is below the specified limit then you get avail exemption.
