The amount of service tax which one has paid on its business expenses.
For e.g. Mr. X paid the bill of a Chartered Accountants, which contain a Chartered accountants fees of Rs. 100 and Service tax of rs. 12.36. Hence , the total payment made is Rs. 112.36 to the chartered accountant.
In this case, as Mr. X has already paid Service tax of Rs. 12.36 on its expenses, the same amount of Rs. 12.36 can be claimed as CENVAT Credit, which can be adjusted against the Service tax liability on taxable services provided by Mr. X.
Hope the above will solve your query.
