Service tax registration query

06 August 2013 I want to ask regarding the registration limit of service tax earlier it was 10 lacs i.e as soon as we cross the limit of 9 lacs we need to get the service tax number but from FY 2013-14 has the limit reduced to 8 lacs i.e as soon as we cross the limit of 7 lacs we have to take the number and start paying tax after 8 lacs?
