We are very confused of director's service tax registration.
our director is service provider in our company as a director remuneration. so, our director liable for registration of service tax ?

27 September 2012 Require Some Detail to Answer:-

>Check Form 32, Whether He is registered as Non Executive Director or Executive.

> Check What is The Per Month Remuneration.
From 1st July to 07th August.
If Exceed The Prescribed Limit Then Need to register, Otherwise Not.

> After 7th Aug, Company Will Pay The Service Tax, and Director Need Not requires to register for Service Tax.

27 September 2012 Agreed with Expert's answer. After 7th august 12, it is under reverse charge mechanism and therefore it is the liability of the company.
