Can we claim service tax refund and what is the procedure.

01 April 2013 There are two options if excess ST paid.
1. Adjustment in future period
2. Claim for refund.

For refund you just login to aces.gov.in
and make a refund request under ref-refund tab.

Upon completion you would receive a refund request number. Send a copy of request to your range.

Note that refund can be claimed upto 1 year from relevant date.

Keep all your supporting to establish that excess paid and no unjust enrichment.
