24 July 2025 Hey! About **Service Tax on Registered Agreements of Commercial Property**:

* **Service Tax is NOT applicable on the mere registration of an agreement** (like a sale deed or lease deed) for immovable property.
* Service Tax applies when you provide a **taxable service** as per the law, such as real estate agent services or construction services.
* **Registration of documents** (like sale or lease agreements) with the Registrar is a government service, usually attracting **stamp duty** and **registration fees**, but **NOT service tax**.
* So, the **10.30% service tax** you mentioned does not apply just because you register an agreement for commercial property.

**Bottom line:** No service tax on the value of registered agreements themselves.

If your question is about service tax on other related services (like brokerage, or construction), those would be treated differently.

Want me to explain those too?
