20 March 2014 Dear Sir / Madam,

I have a doubt, if income received from Youtube (Google Inc) by ads on a youtube channel thru dollors is effected to pay service tax.

or this amount is exempted from service tax...
pls clarify my doubt

20 March 2014 Please clarify the following points to understand the issue properly.

1) In which format you are giving the ads?
2) How you are delivering the ads?

24 March 2014 Thanks for ur response Mr. Ravi Kumar..

1) We have a channel on you tube, and we uploaded videos on you tube, and if any one see that video, about 18 secs advertisement is playing. here you tube is intermediary.
That ad person pay some amount to you tube (Google) and google pay commission/ income to us, in dollors.

2) We just uploaded videos.

if any information require pls ask sir

24 March 2014 Hi,
Your service covered under declared services.

It is a export of service hence we need to look in to the Place of provision of service Rules,2012 (POP)

As per the POP Rule your service comes under Rule 9, in which Service provider place is considered as place of provision of service, Hence you are liable to pay Service Tax
