We are a partnership firm doing the business of construction of residential complex. We have purchased a land and constructed 15 flat s. what is the tax liability?

06 April 2012 Yes you are within the ambit of service tax as the number of residential units is more than 12...further if you take any advance payment before the completion of the prjoect for any of the flat then in respect of that flat you'll be required to pay sercive tax, else not.
