09 January 2013 Without service tax no. invoice is valid or what?

we take cabling service from XYZ servicer. they raise the bill without tax no. but charged vat & Service tax..

so it is valid.

09 January 2013 wITHOUT SERVICE TAX NUMBER INVOICE IS NOT CORRECT AS PER ST RULES. ALSO CENVAT CREDIT CANNOT BE TAKEN AGAINST SUCH INVOICE....

09 January 2013 withou service tax no inovice is not good. you can't take service tax credit.
even you don't know whether they are paying govt tax or not
so perhaps they are charging more money on the name of service tax
and for VAT they need to mention TIN no
