I want To know Is service Tax Is Mandatory If Yes Means When We Have To Do the file

04 March 2014 Service tax is applicable if the following conditions are satisfied:

1. Service is provided.
2. The gross billing from service exceeds Rs. 10 lakhs.

In that case service tax is to be charged in the invoice and collected from the buyer.

The service tax is to be deposited by 6th of next month (if paid electronically) otherwise 5th.

Service tax return is to be filed half yearly by 25th of the succeeding month.
