04 April 2012 What is difference between 'securities traded at market' and 'securities quoted at market'..??

05 April 2012 Securities quoted at market means those securities which are LISTED on a stock exchange.

Securities TRADED at market means securities in which transactions of sale and purchase has taken place.

05 April 2012 Nd unquoted securities.?


05 April 2012 Securities which have not been listed on any stock exchange.

07 April 2012 Securities traded in the market are those securities which are purchased and sold by the investors in the stock exchange every working day for which the broker get commission, Govt. get taxes and the purchaser gets the delivery of securities whereas the seller delivers the securities.

Securities Listed means those securities which are listed with the stock exchange on payment of various fees on the date of their opening after the public issue and are ready for trading. Without getting the securities listed no trading can be done. It is possible that after listing there is no trading means no buyer and no seller. In case of closely held companies when the qyantity of share in the market are very less then it might not be traded but the company is a listed.

As regards unquoted shares means these shares are of the Limited company which are not listed with stock exchanges and are not free for transfer of shares through stock exchange although the value of the shares might be 10 to 20 times of their face value.
