If you are an Individual , for you and any of the member of your family, the maximum limit is Rs. 25000/-. It included Rs. 5000/- towards preventive medical health check ups and this amount can be paid even in cash also, unlike the medi-claim premium, which is required to be paid by a mode other than cash. . There are certain specific provisions as regards the assessees who are senior citizens, parents etc. In case you require further information in that regard - you may revert back.
