30 April 2013 CAN A PERSON CLAIM THE HOUSING LOAN DEDUCTION u/S 24 AND 80-C IF HE COMES ONLY BLOOD RELATION BUT HE IS NOT CO OWNER.(ALL INSTALMENT PAID BY THE PERSON WHO COMES IN BLOOD RELATION). PLZ REFER THE JUDGMENT IF ANY.

13 June 2013 If a joint owner wants to claim deduction u/s 24 then the percentage of both the co-owner should be fixed in advance. It has no relation with blood relation or other wise. The deduction cannot be claimed under botht eh sections at a time.
