12 April 2016 Assume i have paid Rs. 50000 medical premium for my 5 family member, one out of five is senior citizen, in that case how much max. Deduction can i avail,

12 April 2016 This is for you forget everything what we have talk earlier
1. If you have invested in Medical premium of floater plan means single plan including dependent and if you are below 60 then Rs. 25000/- max. deduction or above 60 then 30000/- max. deduction.
2. If you have invested in Medical Premium of floater plan more than 1 policy then you have to take your individual policy as above point no. 1 and other policy (as which is only for dependent family members) you can also claim deduction as point No.1
So. for more than one policy your deduction will be if below 60 25000+25000=50000/- or you below and dependent above 60 then 25000+30000 = 55000/-
