Dear Friend,, If you plan for a job Scope for CWA is good but in practice scope is very limited compared to CA. To be frank CA is always more preferred but now this concept is changing. CWA have a much wider role to play. Role of CWA is not only limited to Cost Accounting but spreads to management accounting. They have bigger role in decision making and at management level. Now role of a CWA is being recognised radically. Training in CWA or Articleship is of three years. If you have experience in a Company even that will count. Requirement of training is less strict as compared to in CA. But its always preferred to train under a practising CWA, because it is one real good experience. You always come across with quality work. Statutory Cost Audits are always in big organisations. So, dont worry your future has lot in store for you. You only do your bit by gaining all the knowledge you can during the course of CWA. Regards

I agree with Sanjay. More over there is a proposal of making Multi-disciplinary firm that is partnership may be formed by any of the 6 professional body say CA,CWA,CS,LLB,Architects etc.,
If you are willinng to join company, then its only in Big multinational, manufacturing companies etc.,
