08 April 2010 Every organisation have thier salary structure as per thier policy. ANywhere nothing is provided for it.
Normally following salary structure is used by the organization which i have seen :

Basic : 40% of Total Salary
HRA : 50% of Basic Salary
Conveyance Allowance : 10% of Basic salary or Rs.800/
Other allowance : Balance

This will be different company wise company
It is sole discretion of company what they opted.
