Kindly suggest me that for send the material in Haryana road permit required or not

As per the Section 66(1) of M.V.Act.1988 no owner of a motor vehicle shall use or permit the use of the vehicle as Transport Vehicle in any public place unless he obtains a permit from Regional or State Transport Authority.
Granting of Permit

For obtaining a road permit the owner of a vehicle may apply to the Regional Transport Authority or the State Transport Authority in the prescribed application form. The granting of the permit will be decided by the concerning RTA or STA board, keeping in view the public interest of the area.




There are different types of road permits and they are viz.

∗ Stage Carriage Permit

∗ Goods Carriage Permit

∗ Contract Carriage Permit

∗ National Road Permit

∗ All India Tourist Permit

∗ Temporary Permit

∗ Special Permit
Stage Carriage Permit

Stage Carriage Permits are generally issued to the buses/mini buses/city buses for carrying passengers on hire in a particular area. The route consists of stages where passengers can be picked up and dropped. Regional Transport Authorities are empowered to issue such permits to the vehicles for operation in his jurisdiction and outside of the jurisdiction of the concerned RTA. But such permits are subjected to countersignature by the RTA of the regions concerned.

Requirements:

∗ Application in Form-8;

∗ Relevant documents of the vehicle like R/C, F/C, I/C;

∗ Tax clearance Certificate;

∗ Proof of address;

∗ Prescribed fees;
Goods Carriage Permit

Such permit are issued to an applicant to use his motor vehicle for the carriage of goods for hire or reward or for the carriage of goods for or in connection with a trade or business carried by the applicant. In general, there is no restriction for grant of permits to goods vehicles.

Requirements:

∗ Application in Form-10;

∗ Relevant documents of the vehicle;

∗ Tax clearance Certificate;

∗ Proof of address;

∗ Prescribed fees;
Contact Carriage Permit

This type of road permits is generally issued to the Bus/Mini Bus/ Tata Sumu/ Tourist Motor Cab/ Auto Rickshaw and Taxies to carry passengers under a contract for a fixed destination within or outside of the State.

Requirements:

∗ Application in Form-9;

∗ Relevant documents of the vehicle;

∗ Proof of address;

∗ Prescribed fees;
National Road Permit

Issuance of National Road Permit is the subject of State Transport Authority only. The National Road Permit in respect of goods carriage to operate throughout the territory of India or in such contiguous States, not being less than four in number including the Home State in which the permit issued.

Requirements:

∗ Application in Form-48;

∗ Application in Form-46;

∗ Relevant documents of the vehicle;

∗ Prescribed fees;

∗ Demand Drafts of fees for the other States;
Tourist Permit

Tourist Permits are issued by the State Transport Authority to the vehicles like Bus and Motor Cabs for the purpose of the carrying the tourist.

Requirements:

∗ Application in Form-45;

∗ Application in Form-46;

∗ Relevant documents of the vehicle;

∗ Tax clearance certificate;

∗ Proff of address;

∗ Prescribed fees;
Temporary Permit

Regional Transport Authority and The State Transport Authority granted the Temporary Permits to the vehicles for the conveyance of passengers on special occasions such as to fairs and religious gatherings or for the purpose of a seasoned business. Temporary permits are valid for period of 4 months from the date of issuance.
Special Road Permit

Special permits are granted to those Transport Vehicles which intends to ply to a State other than the Home State. Special Permits are issued in some special occasion and remain valid for a very limited period or for one round trip.
