14 April 2012 i am uploading return through aces but the challan amt is not matching the payable amt as we are taking benefit of notification no. 1/2006 and paying tax at 2.575% as against 10% what to do pls help me we are construction company

14 April 2012 AS i understand you are applying abatement rate to the service tax rate while you are required to apply the same to the gross amount charged. in this case rate will remain same i.e. 10.30%.

16 April 2012 in that case it is showing challam amt is not matching with the payable amt
