I m working as retainer with a company and my fees is 2.75 lacs pm. My question is :

whether i need to do registration for service tax.

Shall appreciate the early response and help

26 May 2015 As service amount you are providing does not exceeds INR 9,00,000 you need not take service tax registration.

26 May 2015 Yes, you will have to take service tax registration and pay service tax, as your yearly income will be Rs.33 lacs (2.75X12)
