I AM taking about pAYMENT VOUCHER IN our organisation we maintain both cheque payment voucher and cash payment voucher when we give a cheque to a party we will prepare cheque payment voucher and get it signed by party reciver signature my doubt instead of voucher preparation can we maintain a register

Maintenance of Register does not mean proper books of accounts are maintained.Either Payment/Receipt voucher is genereated from the system or manually it needs to be prepared. Register is maintained for effective and better compliance and Reconciliation purpose.
