Regarding depreciation

21 January 2016 respected sir/madam,
I have a query regarding Chargeability of Depreciation on assets for Educational Institutions.
I have made addition to asset in December of the FY. can i take Depreciation on addition for 4 months or 12 months?

21 January 2016 from income tax perspective, you will claim depreciation for 6 months ie half the rate of depreciation provided in the act.
