18 October 2010 Sir,
I have made 5 FDs of Rs. 4 lacks each in Feb 2009 (for 1000 days). I have not shown interest in ITR of 2008-09 and 2009-10. The bank have deducted TDS on them. Can I now show interest in ITR on maturity of these FDs or I have to fill revised ITRs for the previous years.

Regards,

G. Kumar

18 October 2010 what is meant by 'deferred to tds in the respective years'? Kindly explain.

22 October 2010 You had no information about the crediting of interest and deduction of TDS, you can show the interest income at the time of maturity and take the credit of TDs in the same year, there is no need to revise the ITR.
