Hi,
I appreciate that you took a break keeping your family as a priority over career.
Considering that you would want to come back to the profession and alot has changed over the past couple of years, I'd suggest you enroll with any of the councils/study circles in your area. Attend the various seminars for updating yourself with the current affairs in the world of CA and also to network with people from the profession.
Update yourself with the new acts, like the Companies Act 2013, and the upcoming acts where you will be at par with everyone else and could gain from having free time at hand to study rigorously.
You can enroll for the courses you mentioned but they would not assist in isolation.
Also, keep yourself out of the confusion and depression you mentioned. If it is visible in your body language or on your face, it would definitely not give a nice vibe to the people around you. A successful negotiator (for jobs or assignment) doesn't show desperation or gloom. Cheer up, and you'll see more things getting better for you than now.
