I have purchased plot in name of my wife from my income. Is it mandatory to show the same in IT return? If yes in Whose IT Return should i show the amount i.e in my return or in my wife's return. Further, please tell Which return form should me and my wife file. I am a salaried person.

if you have the only house you need not show. if you had house before purchase of this house then you need to shoe the deemed income or actual income as the case may be. it has to be shown in your name as house was bought out of you fund.
