30 April 2008 Can anyone tell about the liability of employer as regards deduction and payment of professional tax on the salary of the employees.?

When the employer is liable to deduct and pay it?

When to deposit it?

What type of challan and returns to be used.?

Which amount shall be considered for calculating slabs applicable to a particular employee.?

I am asking for gujarat state.
