we are a trading company and we sell steel balls to end manufactures and they ask us for excise bill. for this excise bill did i have to register for excise no and there is a procedure in customs to pay custom duty as excise or somewhat like that so if i give my buyers excise bill they pay me excise tax did i have to submit it to government or i will keep it with me if submit to the government will it be refunded or the excise i pay in custom will that be refunded please explain me the whole procedure i don't know anything clearly

1. You can do the trading activity in same premises but you should maintain separate account. 2. You should continue separate series of invoice for trading activity. If you want to pass on excise duty to your buyer in that case you need to register with excise department as a dealer. 3. There is no turnover limit for trading purpose.
Kindly Noted that SSI exemption is available to manufacturer only upto 1.5cr. No exemption is available for trander if they are pass the duty.
