What is the procedure to be followed if a director having DIN Dies?

As per my knoweldge there is no procedure because i will give u one small example.
Mr.X having a PAN No so and so, After some year Mr.X is dead then PAN no is also dies along with so that no need of procedure, that is fully implied.
