06 March 2009 please tell me the whole procedure of auditing of Excise Duty in case of concern engaged in manufacturing of IRon & Steel .I mean the checks to be applied for checking the registers or other matters.

12 September 2009 Audit system is changed as EA-2000 Audit. Accordint to this all records can be audited but they audits in the view of revenue only.
