21 January 2012 There are 3 companies A (listed entity), B, and C (both unlisted). All are public limited comapnies.

Company B is a 100% subsidiary of Company A AND Company C is also a subsidiary of Company A wherein Co. A holds 51% shares.

Now,the structure has been changed.

Comapny B has become the holding comapny of Co. C holding 51% and the Comapny A holds 46%.

Which Company will consolidate the accounts of Comapny C and from which date?

22 January 2012 Since B is subsidiary of A ltd and C ltd is now a subsidiary of B ltd, C ltd also becomes subsidiary of A ltd (subsidiary of a subsidiary).

Both B ltd and A ltd will have to consolidate accounts of C ltd.

24 January 2012 Both B ltd and C Ltd are subsidiary of A ltd.

B Ltd will consolidate financial results of C ltd
while A ltd will consolidate financial results of B ltd (with C Ltd.'s financial results)
