09 March 2015 there are over 5000 companies listed in Stock exchange - BSE. Of which half are in T and Z list. Pls ignore both the categories as majority of the companies will not ever trade after few years.

Better to invest in blue chip companies like HDFC, Infy, BHEL etc which will keep your capital assured and give you decent returns as well.
