It is to be on montly basis.

If your total service tax payment doesnot exceed 50 lakhs it has to be paid on or before the 5th of next month of collection.

If it exceeds 50 lakhs, the amount has to be paid by way of e-payment and it has to be paid by 6th of the next month preceeding the month of collection.
