21 June 2010 Should penalty be levied on short payment of VAT(Banglore) @ 10% of Tax shortly paid if the VAT return in filed by the dealer?

21 June 2010 Penalty shall be 1% per month on the amount of vat payable and 2500/- penalty per month for nonfilling of vat monthly return.
