Payment of tax after cancellation of registration

03 August 2010 we have cancelled our registration and thereafter we received the outstanding payment from our debtors. in such case how should we deposot taxes? which registration no. should we mention in the payment challan? any penalty or interest will be levied or not?

03 August 2010 iF YOU HAVE CHARGED SERVICE TAX ON SUCH BILLS AND NOT DEPOSIT, THEN IT IS YOUR LIABILTY TO DEPOSIT IT , MENTIONING SAME REGISTRATAION NO. NO PENALTY AND INTEREST, IF YOU FOLLOW CASH SYSTEM FOR PAYMENT OF SERVICE TAX, I.E AS WHEN YOU RECD PAYMENT FROM DEBTOR , YOU SUBMIT SERVICE TAX.

03 August 2010 after applying for cancellation, shall department sent any acknowledgement for the same?


04 August 2010 At present, all request like registration, cancellation, amend is all online.
for online ,department will not sent to you any acknowledgement.

Before it a request letter for cancellation is sent to dept in duplicate,
they will acknowledged the duplicate copy as receiving.
