05 September 2009 case1. suppose a service provider raise a bill of Rs.100000+ Service tax.
He received a partial payment of rs.50000/-
now how much amount of service tax will be paid?

or he should change the invoice according to payment recd?

05 September 2009 The receipt will be treated as cum tax. Supposing the tax rate is 10%, tax payable will be Rs. 50000 x 10 / 110 = Rs. 4545.00.

No need to change the invoice.
